Korea is similar in size to the U.K. and has a population of nearly 50,000,000 million people. 20,000,000 of these people live Seoul megalopolis. While the countryside is mountainous, the cities are incredibly dense.

Korea is comparable to Japan in technology. There are computer gaming internet rooms on nearly every block, 75% of the population owns a cell phone, and some of the world's most advanced tools and machines are made here.

Korean written language is unique in the world. Originally similar to the Chinese system of characters, the current phonetic alphabet was developed in 1443 by a group of scholars. Because the writing system was developed after the oral language, it is very logical and easy to use, and Korean literacy rates are over 97%.
